Who we are
The Montevideo Players Society is the oldest amateur theatre company in South America, and one of the oldest independent theatre companies in the country. Founded by the British Community on July 14th 1949, it's dedicated to promote British theatre and culture in Uruguay, by presenting the plays exclusively in English.
It's a place where theatre and English lovers can have fun and meet like-minded peers, as well as participate in a wide range of activities, such as Quiz nights, St. Patrick's Day, Darts nights, and more!
